Celebrity treatment for your dogIt’s a doggy dog world out there, especially when it comes to celebrities and their famous pooches. We’ve seen them being snapped by paparazzi on the red carpet, eating a fancy meal at exclusive restaurants and paraded around in expensive designer handbags. They are owned by the rich and famous and are sometimes more well-known than their owner.

Some of these dogs even have a twitter page along with an enormous following (far greater than our own!). Rapper, 50 Cent has a dog called Oprah Winfree and can be found on the social network site @OprahTheDog. Oprah has tweeted 351 times and gained an astonishing 11,602 followers and counting.

Singer Mariah Carey has four Jack Russells to look after, but it seems she favours one in particular as Jack is often seen out enjoying the media attention. Mariah is known for dressing her dogs up and the oldest of the bunch, Jack has revelled in the advantages of wearing a green anorak when walking in the blustering wind.

The most famous of them all is Paris Hilton’s Tinkerbell, who loves to dress up in everything pink.  The Teacup Chihuahua has appeared in all five seasons of the socialite’s TV show, The Simple Life and has even had a parody released entitled “The Tinkerbell Hilton Diaries: My Life Tailing Paris Hilton”.
